Welcome back to another year of IB Biology at Allen High School! In this second year of HL Biology, we'll learn about the one of the essential themes of modern biology: evolutionary theory and how it has shaped populations of organisms throughout history, including human populations. To get you started thinking about our foray into this option, you are to have read Survival of the Sickest by Dr. Sharon Moalem and Jonathan Prince over the summer. Be ready to incorporate this book into our first six weeks of study!

In the spring semester, our focus will be on preparing internal assessment portfolios for moderation in April and preparing for the exam in May.
